"Assistance for Military Families" silent auction.

I hope you will participate in the silent auction that my son and I are doing to help benefit our military families.

My son and I are going on a "Spring Break GeoTour '08" from March 20 through March 30, 2008.

We are having an event in four of the cities that we are stopping in.  My original thought was to have a silent auction at each of those four cities.  Then I thought that by having them online and making they available to everyone more money could be raised.  I name the auctions for each of the cities we'll stop in.

My son hand makes a wooden ammo can as one of his sig items.  He will be making four ammo cans, one for each event.  I am asking members of the path tag community to donate four of their path tags so we can place one in each of the four ammo cans.  We will then have a silent auction to raise money for a group that provides assistance for military families.  The group that we have chosen to receive the winning bids is Operation Homefront.

The Rules:

1. Email your bid and your www.geocaching.com user name to the email address on each of the four web pages that you want to place a bid on.
2. Emails must be received by 11:00 pm EST on March 18, 2008.
3. Anyone can bid on any of the auctions.  Bids are to be in US dollars.  You do not have to live near any of the events or be attending one.
4. Winners will be notified on March 19, 2008 by email, unless they provide a phone number.
5. Winners must pay for the prize by a personal check or money order made out to "Operation Homefront".  We will then mail the received checks or money orders to the group.
6. Winners must pay for shipping if they can not meet us at any of the events or arrange for a pickup.
7. Cyclops, Son of Cyclops or Wife of Cyclops are not eligible to bid on this auction.
